
Terms and Conditions
Craftycorner Garage Door & Gate Technician
Effective Date: 06 June 2025
1. Services Provided
Craftycorner Garage Door & Gate Technician offers professional services including:

Supply and installation of garage door and gate motors

Repair and maintenance of garage doors, gates, and openers
-
Installation of solar-powered systems and WiFi automation
-
Supply and fitting of safety beams, batteries, and accessories
All services are subject to availability and may require an initial on-site assessment or quote confirmation before scheduling.

2. Quotes and Pricing
-
All quotes issued by Craftycorner are valid for 14 calendar days, unless otherwise specified.
-
Prices are in NZD and may include or exclude GST.
-
Quotes cover only the described work and listed materials; additional requests outside the agreed scope will be charged separately.

Unexpected costs such as structural repairs, electrical modifications, or product substitutions may result in adjusted pricing upon client approval.​
3. Payment Terms
-
Invoices are due within 7 calendar days from the date of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Deposits:
-
A 50% deposit is required before work begins for quotes over $1000 NZD.
-
No materials will be ordered and no appointments secured until deposit is received.

Scheduled Payments:
-
For jobs over $1000 NZD, clients may request a payment plan agreed in writing or via the Henry platform.

Accepted Payment Methods: Bank transfer, EFTPOS, cash, automatic online payments.

Late Payments: A 2% monthly interest fee applies to overdue balances; accounts overdue by more than 30 days may be referred to debt collection, with recovery costs added.

Deposits are non-refundable once materials are purchased or work is scheduled.​
4. Warranties

All products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty (typically 1–5 years).

Craftycorner provides a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
-
Warranties are void if products are misused, altered, tampered with, poorly maintained, or interfered with by unauthorized persons.

Supply-Only Sales / Customer Installation:
-
If products are supplied for self-installation or installation by a third party, Craftycorner is not responsible for damage, malfunction, or reduced lifespan caused by incorrect installation.

Manufacturer warranties may be void if products are installed incorrectly.​

5. Refunds & Returns
-
Change of Mind: Refunds are not provided for change-of-mind purchases once products are ordered or work scheduled.
-
Products: Refunds or replacements are only provided for faulty products that cannot be repaired or replaced under warranty. Products must be returned in original condition where applicable.

Services: Service fees are non-refundable once work is completed. Dissatisfaction will be addressed through adjustments under the workmanship guarantee.

Compliance: All refunds and returns are handled in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ) and the Fair Trading Act 1986 (NZ).​
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Clients must notify Craftycorner at least 24 hours in advance.
-
Emergency or after-hours call-outs may incur additional fees.
-
Craftycorner reserves the right to reschedule due to weather, safety concerns, or part availability.

7. Limitation of Liability
Craftycorner is not liable for:

Indirect or consequential losses
-
Delays caused by suppliers, shipping, or force majeure events
-
Damage caused by third parties, misuse, pre-existing door conditions, or self-installation​
8. Ownership of Goods

All goods remain the property of Craftycorner until full payment is received.
-
Craftycorner may retrieve unpaid goods in accordance with NZ consumer law.​
9. Access and Safety
-
Clients must provide safe, unobstructed access to the worksite.
-
All hazards, including pets, dangerous materials, or unstable structures, must be disclosed in advance.​
10. Pre-existing Door & System Disclaimer
-
Clients are responsible for disclosing the condition of their existing garage/tilt doors or gates.
-
Craftycorner may advise when an existing setup could affect the lifespan or performance of new products.
-
If the client proceeds after receiving this advice, Craftycorner is not responsible for future faults caused by the existing setup.​
11. Service Area
-
Craftycorner primarily services Christchurch and surrounding areas.
-
Clients outside this region may be subject to additional travel charges or may be referred elsewhere.
12. Privacy Policy
-
All client information is collected and stored in accordance with the NZ Privacy Act 2020.
-
Information is used solely to deliver services, provide support, and manage invoices.
-
We do not share personal data with third parties without your consent.
13. Governing Law
-
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
-
Any disputes shall be resolved according to NZ legal procedures.

By signing below or accepting the official quote via the Henry platform, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
