Refund Policy

we take pride in providing quality products and services. This Refund Policy explains when refunds or replacements may apply under New Zealand law, and outlines situations where we are not responsible for future issues.

1. Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges if you change your mind, order the wrong product, or no longer require the service. Please choose carefully and ask us if you need help before purchasing.

2. Products

If a product we supply (e.g. garage door opener, gate motor, accessories, or parts):

• Is faulty,

• Is not of acceptable quality,

• Is not fit for its intended purpose, or

• Does not match its description,

then you are entitled under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 to a repair, replacement, or refund.

We may first offer a repair or replacement before a refund is considered, as permitted by law.

3. Services

If a service we provide (e.g. installation, repair, or maintenance):

• Has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill,

• Is not fit for its stated purpose, or

• Is not delivered within a reasonable time,

then you are entitled under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 to have the problem fixed.

We will always aim to rectify the issue (repair, adjust, or re-do the service). A refund will only be given if the problem cannot be fixed within a reasonable time.

4. Limitations and Customer Acknowledgment

We may advise you when your existing garage door, tilt door, or other setup is aged, damaged, or unsuitable and may affect the performance or lifespan of a new opener, motor, or repair.

If you choose to proceed with installation or service despite these warnings, you acknowledge that:

• Any resulting damage, malfunction, or reduced lifespan caused by your existing setup is not our responsibility.

• Future repairs, call-outs, or replacements required due to pre-existing issues will be at your cost.

• Our liability is limited to the new product/service provided, not to pre-existing door or structural issues.

5. What Is Not Covered

Refunds, replacements, or warranty claims will not apply if:

• The issue arises from misuse, neglect, or accidental damage after installation.

• The product has been altered, tampered with, or repaired by someone other than us.

• The problem is caused by pre-existing issues with your garage door, tilt door, gate, or structure, which you were advised of before installation.

• The problem results from external factors outside our control (e.g. power surges, weather damage, lack of maintenance).

• You change your mind after agreeing to the product or service.

6. How to Request a Refund or Repair

We will review your request in line with our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

7. Business-to-Business Sales

If you are a business customer, the Consumer Guarantees Act may not apply where both parties agree to contract out of it. In such cases, our warranty terms will apply instead.

8. Supply-Only Sales (Customer Installation)

If you purchase products (such as garage doors, garage openers, gate motors, accessories, or parts) from us for self-installation or installation by another party:

• Our responsibility is limited to supplying the product in new and working condition at the time of sale.

• We are not responsible for any damage, malfunction, or reduced lifespan caused by incorrect installation, poor handling, lack of experience, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions.

• Any warranty provided by the manufacturer may be void if the product is not installed by a qualified technician.

• Refunds, replacements, or repairs will not be provided if the product is damaged due to incorrect installation or misuse after purchase.

• Call-outs or repairs to fix issues caused by self-installation will be charged at our standard service rates
